DeVine Awarded Prime Contract for NRL Atmospheric IT Research and Development 

Dec. 18, 2015 - Monterey, CA -- DeVine Consulting, Inc. is pleased to announce the award of a $9 million Top Secret Prime Contract to our company to support the Naval Research Laboratory’s Marine Meteorology Division (MMD) in Monterey, California. We will support NRL MMD’s broadly based multidisciplinary program of scientific research and advanced technological development directed toward providing environment information superiority for the Navy/Marine Corps and the DoD.

As part of the work effort, we will study and model the atmosphere's behavior and its constituents on local, regional, and global scales, including interactions between the air, sea, ice, land, and space that impact fleet operations and Naval and Defense strategies. The work will include the invention, development, implementation, and integration of new capabilities into MMD’s predictive models and systems to enhance analysis and predictive capabilities.

This contract allows our team to continue important work on Coupled Ocean Atmospheric Mesoscale Prediction System (COAMPS), refractive index R&D, Shipboard system capabilities, Electromagnetic (EM) wave propagation R&D, SSM/I sensor software, satellite radiance calibration and validation, and on the NRL high-performance computing (HPC) network architecture.
